One of the ways Power Systems West expresses appreciation and recognition of our talented staff is through our outstanding comprehensive benefits package, which includes several “perks” not available elsewhere. Non-bargaining benefits include the following:


Base salaries are extremely competitive and continuously monitored to meet industry standards.

Health Insurance

Power Systems West provides the majority of the monthly health insurance premium for medical, dental and vision coverage. The employee shares a minimal amount of the premium through a pre-tax payroll deduction. Coverage begins after approximately 90 days of service.


Our Group Life insurance coverage is provided at no cost to employees and provides the equivalent of 2 times an employee’s annual salary to a maximum benefit of $500,000.

Our Long Term Disability insurance is also provided at no cost to employees and provides a monthly benefit of 66 2/3% of regular monthly salary to a maximum of $11,000.

In addition, the company also provides Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance at no cost to employees at 4 times their annual salary. Employees may purchase additional coverage for themselves and their family.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Employees may elect to purchase additional life insurance in increments of $10,000 for themselves and increments of $5,000 for a spouse or eligible domestic partner and $10,000 for each child at a nominal monthly charge. Premium payments are met through payroll deductions. Coverage is portable.

Flex Plan

To offset medical and dependent/elder care expenses, we offer a flex plan that enables payment for qualified expenses through pre-tax payroll deduction. Employees are eligible to participate in the dependent/elder care and premium payment portions of the plan and is effective the 1st of the month following hire. Following 12 months of employment, employees may also utilize the medical reimbursement portion of the plan.


We offer a 401(k) plan with mutual funds through Wells Fargo and the resource of a financial advisor to assist employees. Enrollment is effective the 1st of the month following hire and includes a generous matching contribution by the company.

Employee Assistance Program

Our two Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are designed to provide confidential counseling for employees and their dependents that need assistance with personal concerns. The EAP provides the employee and/or dependents with up to three one-hour counseling sessions per issue with a professional counselor or advisor at no cost.

Paid Time Off

We offer generous paid leave (based of tenure), holiday pay, time loss benefits, bereavement leave and jury duty leave.

Additional Benefits

Our Group Life Insurance provides a unique travel assistance program accessible from anywhere in the world to assist with travel planning and dilemmas occurring during travel at no cost to employees.
